Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at NN Bank, you play a crucial role in our journey towards a data-driven organization. Together with your team, you work on setting up an advanced Savings, Investing & Banking data lake within Azure using the latest tools such as DeltaLake, ADF, Databricks & PySpark.

What you are going to do

• Translating requirements and mapping Payments data for Financial Reporting, marketing and business insights
• Creating and improving dashboards and reports
• Supporting Data Engineers in building and testing reports and dashboards
• Evaluating data quality and dashboards and explaining outcomes to end-users
• Working closely with various teams within NN Bank Payments, Finance, Tax & Legal for reporting deliveries to the Dutch Central Bank and the Tax Authorities
• Following NN Bank's Data Governance & Data Quality Management policy

• Salary between € 3,973 and € 6,694 depending on your knowledge and experience based on 36 hours. It is also possible to work 38 or 40 hours.

What you are

• Bachelor or master’s in data Analytics/Data Science, Econometrics, IT, Finance combined with at least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in an international environment
• Knowledge of Azure components such as DeltaLake, ADF & DataBricks, knowledge of CI/CD, Azure DevOps and experience with scripting in Python (PySpark) & Agile methods and principles such as DevOps, Scrum, and logical and analytical skills
• Extensive experience in writing complex queries in SQL and Python, experience in processing structured data
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with methods of data analysis and their application in business processes
• Good written and oral command of the English language
• Affinity with Financial Reporting is a plus. Reporting skills, with which you know how to translate the results of complex analyses to stakeholders at different levels
• Proactive attitude towards understanding the details and overseeing the bigger picture and business context. Mindset to keep each other sharp as a team on (complex) analyses, reports, and advice
• Experience in the bank/mortgage environment is considered a plus

Who you will work with

The NN Payments Domain consists of more than 100 employees divided among various teams. Within this, there is the Payments Data Lake team. This team is responsible for delivering data for Financial Reporting, Marketing, and Business insights. You will be working with two engineers and a product owner.
